THE WAR ON CASH
Curiously, the very people that invented paper money (namely, world governments) are now declaring war on it. This isn’t something that makes the news or is very common knowledge, but it is something that is happening before our very eyes. Before the mid 1960s, the United States used to have dollar bill denominations in $500, $1000, $5000, and even $10,000.
There were also $100,000 notes that were used for intra-bank transfers. These have all gone the way of the dinosaur, however, and currently, the largest bill printed or in circulation is the $100 – the good old Ben Franklin.
