Last month we looked at the first part of our series on edged weapons, and focused primarily on folding knives for every day carry. We arrived at the conclusion that while society is up and running, your best bet was to have a quality folding knife on your person, since a folder, while a compromise, still gave you the best advantages between carrying a knife while at the same time avoiding the scrutiny that a fixed blade knife invariably draws.
This month, we’ll be looking at fixed blade knives, quality pieces of steel that will go the distance and really work for you. In our opinion, there are two primary areas in which a fixed blade knife makes sense to possess on your person.
